General Santos City (4 August) -- Municipalities in this region have positively responded to the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) program of President Arroyo by identifying their distinct respective product or service.

This is because the Department of Trade and Industry has stressed to each of the local government unit here the importance of OTOP as coined by Arroyo's administration to spur economic growth by focusing collaborative aid on countryside development.
